Job Information
At TransAmerica Express, a heavy haul, oversize, & over Dimensional Specialist will be responsible for working with clients to address specific concerns as it pertains to shipping. Solutions will need to be created to deal with the heavy haul an oversized freight that a client will need to ship. It will also involve working with individual carriers to ensure that they will be able to meet the needs of the client.

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience within the freight industry and have specific knowledge of heavy haul, oversize, and over dimensional freight solutions. A candidate should be able to fluently read and create engineering drawings and be able to perform Excel-based tolerance calculations. An associate or bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or logistics is desired. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, though not required. An individual should also have strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication. They should also be able to produce excellent written reports as well as relevant presentations when needed.

A Dimensional Specialist is going to spend most of their time working with clients and in front of a computer to devise solutions, which may involve using simulation software as well as creating engineering drawings to determine how the heavy haul and oversized freight will be able to work within a given situation. Reports will then need to be created to inform supervisors at TransAmerica Express.
